Aluminum Pergola and Outdoor Structure Profiles
Structural aluminum profiles for pergolas, carports, and outdoor shade structures.
Product Overview
The outdoor living space has become one of the most valued features of residential and hospitality properties in Southeast Asia. A well-designed pergola or outdoor shade structure extends the usable living area, provides shelter from the intense tropical sun, and creates a transition zone between the air-conditioned interior and the outdoor environment. Aluminum is the material of choice for these structures — it's strong, light, corrosion-resistant, and available in colors and finishes that complement any architectural style.
Our aluminum pergola profiles are designed as a complete structural system: column profiles for vertical supports, beam profiles for horizontal spans, and rafter profiles for the roof structure. The column profiles have a hollow square or rectangular cross-section with a base plate for floor mounting and a cap plate for beam connection. The beam profiles are designed with a pre-drilled rafter channel on the top face, allowing rafters to be attached at any spacing without custom fabrication.
The structural design is based on the wind loads typical of Southeast Asian locations. In Vietnam and the Philippines, where typhoon winds can exceed 150 km/h, the pergola structure needs to be designed for wind loads of 2.0–3.0 kPa. Our beam and column profiles are sized to meet these requirements for standard pergola spans of 3–6 meters, with the structural calculations available on request.
For carport applications, we supply the same profile system with the addition of a gutter profile integrated into the beam, which collects rainwater from the roof panels and channels it to downpipes. The gutter profile is designed to handle the high rainfall intensities of tropical Southeast Asia — up to 100mm/hour in extreme events — without overflowing.
Surface treatment is PVDF fluorocarbon coating as standard for outdoor applications, providing 25-year color retention in the tropical UV environment. Popular colors include white (for a clean, modern appearance), anthracite grey (for a contemporary industrial look), and wood-grain finishes (for a warm, natural appearance that complements garden settings).

System Interfaces, Fabrication and Delivery Controls
Architectural profiles must be bought as an interacting system. Frame, sash, glazing bead, gaskets, hardware, drainage and finish need to be checked together rather than ordered as isolated section shapes.
