Aluminum Ventilation Grille and Louvre Frame Profiles

Aluminum ventilation grille and louvre frame profiles for HVAC, facade ventilation, and architectural screening.

Product Overview

Ventilation is one of the most important and least visible aspects of building design. Every building needs to breathe — to allow fresh air in, stale air out, and heat to dissipate from mechanical equipment. Aluminum ventilation grilles and louvre frames are the components that make this possible while maintaining the building's aesthetic integrity.

In Southeast Asia's hot, humid climate, building ventilation is particularly important. Mechanical rooms, car parks, and service areas generate heat and fumes that must be exhausted. Facades need to allow air movement to prevent heat buildup in wall cavities. Roof spaces need ventilation to prevent moisture accumulation that leads to mold and structural damage. Aluminum louvre frames provide the ventilation while excluding rain, insects, and unauthorized access.

Our ventilation grille profiles include the frame profiles (for the outer frame of the grille), the blade profiles (for the horizontal or vertical blades that direct airflow), and the mesh frame profiles (for grilles with insect mesh). The blade profiles are available in fixed and adjustable configurations — fixed blades for permanent ventilation openings, adjustable blades for openings that need to be closed in extreme weather.

The free area of a ventilation grille — the percentage of the total area that is open to airflow — is a critical design parameter. Our standard blade profiles, at 45° angle with 50mm pitch, provide a free area of approximately 50%. For applications requiring higher free area (such as mechanical room exhaust grilles), we supply blade profiles at shallower angles (30°) that provide up to 65% free area.

System Interfaces, Fabrication and Delivery Controls

Architectural profiles must be bought as an interacting system. Frame, sash, glazing bead, gaskets, hardware, drainage and finish need to be checked together rather than ordered as isolated section shapes.
