Tilt and Turn Window Aluminum Profile System

European-style tilt and turn window profiles for ventilation flexibility and easy cleaning.

Product Overview

The tilt-and-turn window is a European design that's gaining popularity in Southeast Asia's premium residential market. Unlike a standard casement window that only opens in one direction, a tilt-and-turn window can open in two ways: tilted inward at the top for secure ventilation (the tilt position), or swung fully open like a casement door for maximum airflow and easy cleaning from inside (the turn position). This dual functionality makes it particularly appealing for high-rise apartments where reaching outside to clean windows is impractical or dangerous.

The tilt-and-turn mechanism requires a more complex hardware system than a standard casement window, but the profile system itself is similar — the same 6063-T5 alloy, the same frame and sash profiles, the same glazing system. What differs is the hardware pocket geometry, which must accommodate the multi-point locking mechanism and the tilt/turn pivot hardware.

In the tilt position, the window opens at the top by 10–15°, allowing fresh air to enter while preventing rain ingress and maintaining security. The tilt opening is controlled by the hardware, which limits the opening angle regardless of wind pressure. In the turn position, the window swings fully open on a vertical hinge, allowing the interior face of the glass to be cleaned from inside — a significant safety advantage for high-rise buildings.

We supply tilt-and-turn profiles in 60mm and 70mm frame depth series. The 70mm series includes a thermal break option for energy-efficient buildings. The profiles are compatible with European hardware from Roto, Siegenia, and GU, which are the standard hardware brands for tilt-and-turn windows in the Southeast Asian premium market.

System Interfaces, Fabrication and Delivery Controls

Architectural profiles must be bought as an interacting system. Frame, sash, glazing bead, gaskets, hardware, drainage and finish need to be checked together rather than ordered as isolated section shapes.
