2020 T-Slot Aluminum Extrusion Profile
Compact 20×20mm T-slot profile for light-duty frames, 3D printers, and small enclosures.
Product Overview
The 2020 profile is where many engineers first encounter T-slot aluminum — often because they built a 3D printer from a kit that used it. But the 2020 is far more than a hobbyist material. In professional settings, it's the right choice for any application where the loads are light, the space is limited, and the weight budget is tight.
At just 0.42 kg/m, the 2020 is the lightest profile in our T-slot range. A complete 500mm × 500mm × 500mm cubic frame weighs under 2 kg — light enough to be repositioned by one person without tools. For laboratory equipment, medical device frames, and small inspection fixtures, this portability is genuinely valuable.
The 6mm slot width accommodates M5 T-bolts, which are more than adequate for the loads these small frames typically carry. The slot geometry is precise enough that M5 drop-in nuts engage reliably, allowing fast assembly without the need to thread fasteners from the profile end.
We supply the 2020 in both standard (1.5mm wall) and reinforced (2.0mm wall) variants. The reinforced version is specified for applications where the profile is used as a column under compressive load, or where the frame will be subject to vibration that could fatigue thin walls over time.
One application that's grown significantly in Southeast Asia is the use of 2020 profiles for small-scale automation fixtures in electronics assembly. As manufacturers move toward flexible, reconfigurable assembly lines, the ability to quickly build and modify small fixtures using 2020 profiles — without machining or welding — has become a genuine competitive advantage.

Compatibility, Assembly and Order Controls
For modular framing, a nominal outer size is not enough to establish compatibility. Confirm the supplied section drawing, slot geometry, core-hole arrangement, connector family and cut/machining references before a mixed-series order is released.
